The company
An independent shop, working one make in one county
Keelson Appliance Service repairs Viking cooking, refrigeration and ventilation equipment on the Clay County side of the St. Johns. That is the whole scope, and the narrowness of it is the point.
Every repair company that names a brand has to be clear about what that naming means. Here it is, without hedging.
Keelson Appliance Service is an independent appliance repair company. We are not affiliated with, authorized by, or endorsed by Viking or its parent company. All brand names and model numbers are the property of their respective owners and are used only to identify the appliances we service.
We say so in the masthead of every page on this site, not only down here and not only in the small print. Naming the equipment we service is how you find us; implying that the manufacturer sent us would be something else entirely, and we do not do it.
The practical consequence for you is simple. Work inside the manufacturer warranty has to go through Viking's own network — call them, not us. Everything after that period, and every appliance whose warranty has long since run out, is exactly what an independent shop is for.
Our technicians hold EPA Section 608 certification, the federal credential required to handle refrigerant.
That is the only credential this site claims, because it is the only one we hold that is worth stating. It matters on sealed-system work: opening a refrigeration circuit without it is a federal matter, not a preference. It says nothing about Viking, and we would rather name one real credential than a page of vague ones.

We do not work on other makes
Viking only. A van that carries parts for eight manufacturers carries the right part for none of them. If you call about another make we will tell you on the phone rather than take the $129.
- 02
We do not advertise emergency service
No 24-hour line, no same-day promise. A small independent shop cannot honestly hold that out, and a promise that gets broken on a Saturday night is worse than no promise.
- 03
We do not handle work under the manufacturer warranty
If your appliance is still inside its manufacturer warranty, that work has to go through Viking's own service network. Call them first. We are an independent shop and have no route into that process.

We do not publish a rating on a page that shows no reviews
The average and the owner notes travel together. Where a star figure appears, the notes it averages are printed on the same page, lukewarm ones included, so nothing in the markup claims feedback you cannot read for yourself.

We do not fit aftermarket parts
Genuine OEM parts only. We do not fit aftermarket substitutes into a professional range.
Fleming Island is a peninsula: the St. Johns River on one side, Doctors Lake on the other, and US 17 down the spine. Nearly every address we serve is within a few minutes of one of those, which is why the whole service section is organised by water rather than by ZIP code.
Fleming Island, Orange Park, Green Cove Springs, Middleburg, Oakleaf Plantation, Lakeside, Penney Farms are the regular run. Past that it is a question of how far the van is willing to go on a given day — roughly 30 miles — so call and ask rather than assume either way.
There is no shopfront and no published street address. This is a mobile service operation; the workbench is the back of the van and the parts stock is chosen around the five things that actually fail here. The area pages set out what changes from one stretch of shoreline to the next.
